Puppets in use

The Puppets [Gorilla and Duck] along with the hand puppet made at Traffalgar Fireworks night [Nosey] and the Gipp's guides logo [Miss Rabit - the frog] are valuable asserts used within the Youth meetings of the Hazelwood and Churchill Girl Guides.  Mostly they and the operators are entertaining.  While the Youth members play with them boundaries of socially acceptable behaviour are introduced. Cross-cultural norms are passed on from one to the other.

The observation that the Gorillas size presents for some of the younger Youth members an approach to strangers obstacle was quite correct.  So at least once a term the Puppets are 'dragged' of the 'shelf' [the filing cabinets] and sat there for the Youth to get use too, manipulate and entertain the other members in a non threatening and clever way

By the stage that these same puppets are also taken into the public the Youth Members are comfortable, they have behaviour boundaries imposed and the members also creatively feed off the energy of everyone there.

In three minutes produce

In three minutes produce:

Something old.
Something new.
Something borrowed.
Something blue.
Something bright and with a sheen.
Something  beautiful and fit for a Queen.

Restrictions and limits may be given, but nothing should be from the uniform or persons of the Guides (or leaders).
