Crocheted Yellow daisy

Yellow Daisy
This flower appliqué can be added to any hat, pillow, or blanket. The daisy appliqué is 2.5cm [4 inches] wide. 


Materials needed:
  • baby Yarn - lemon or brown
  • hook Size: G/4.25mm





CH = Chain
SL = Slip Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
HDC = Half Double Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
TR = Triple Crochet






  1.  Decide what you are going to use the flower for. If you would like this as a barrette you may need to finish making it and then use starch to stiffen it up.
  2.  However if you are going to place the flower on a woollen surface then attach Yellow yarn to top of area and in a circular fashion crochet the following:


Rnd 1: CH 6, SL in 1st CH made, SC in project, Repeat 4 times in circular fashion, SL next to beginning CH made, Do not turn.
Rnd 2: In Ring sp - 2 SC, 2 HDC, 2 DC, 2 TR, 2 DC, 2 HDC, 2 SC, Rep 4 times, SL in first SC, Tie off, hide string.

Center Rnd 1: SC around the perimeter of center, do not turn.
Rnd 2-3: SC around, do not turn.
Rnd 4: Cut a long tail and pull loop up. With a darning needle sew back and forth through each SC, Pull string to close center of flower, tie off, hide string.
