You will need:
- You can use most any type of clay.
- Air dried clays do not bake.
- However remember baked clays will last longer.
- Roll clay out with a rolling pin, until about 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut clay with a butter knife. (saucer or sandwich plate make great templates)
- Charcoal the hand that is to be pressed into the clay.
- Gently press hand into clay to make imprint.Gently turn over. Using a pencil, carefully write child's name and date.
- Allow clay to cure or bake (follow directions for the clay you chose)
- usually it pays to dry the clay slowly by keeping the clay in covered with plastic. Uncovering it for a short time each day.
- Paint
